Personal Training

Achieve your fitness goals with one-on-one training sessions tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you’re working to lose weight, build strength, or improve your overall fitness, our personalized approach promotes effective and sustainable progress.

Duration: 1 hour

Specific Training

Build strength and develop muscle with targeted weight training sessions. These focused workouts are designed to strengthen specific muscle groups using traditional weightlifting techniques, including kettlebells, bands and plyometrics. Let our trainer guide you through effective, personalized sessions to maximize your results.

Small Group Circuit Training

Group Size: Max 4 participants

Experience the energy and camaraderie of small group circuit training! These sessions combine personalized coaching with a fun, collaborative environment. Using a variety of equipment and exercises, you’ll build strength, improve endurance, and enjoy a full-body workout. Perfect for friends or small groups looking to train together!

Circuit classes must be scheduled in advance.

Teresa La Mar-Daley, CPT, is certified through the Health Fitness Institute (HFI), and affiliated with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a member of the International Association of Fitness Professionals (IDEA).  Teresa is the founder of Sound Body Fitness.  She has 30 years’ experience in the health and fitness industry and has worked with men, women and children, of varying fitness levels.

She has taken courses in nutrition and exercise, has been published, and continues her education in order to provide proper techniques and information.

My chiropractor indicated that without the training that I had undertaken during our workout sessions, my recovery would have taken in excess of two months. "Teresa, thanks to you, my cholesterol is now normal! When first tested in April 2008, my cholesterol was very high: LDL 191, HDL 81, Total 272. The next test in November 2009 was a little better: LDL 175, HDL 71, Total 246. Now, my cholesterol is NORMAL: LDL 105, HDL 89, Total 194. This time, I asked about my triglycerides: 95. Thanks for kicking my ass and making me start jogging. It made a huge difference in my weight and how I feel in general. Jogging along with taking Niacin and Red Yeast Rice made all the difference, and now I don’t have to take medication for years and years. You are a great trainer and friend!"

"Over the years, I have always been a participant in physical fitness. Through high school and college, I never really paid attention to my diet, although it was healthy and rich in fruits and vegetables. I became a Vegan (a vegetarian that consumes only grains, fruits, and vegetables) at the age of 15 in hopes of cleansing myself of toxins. This lasted about a year and a half. I started to miss seafood too much and noticed a little drop in energy. I searched for a vegetarian approach that contained seafood. That’s when I discovered the practice of Macrobiotics, perfect. My running improved, my endurance was better, and I felt fresh in the morning ready for workouts. In those days, I wasn’t training for competition like I am now and didn’t concern myself about consuming the appropriate protein and carbohydrate ratio. In 1989, I ran my first half marathon and decided to really start into competition. I had continued to mountain bike ride as a cross-training sport but decided to invest in a road bike. This led to road racing and more intense training. This also led to more carbohydrate consumption. I only knew what the books said worked best as a fuel source. Well, I continued to eat pasta, bread, fig bars, etc.—all being low in fat—but I was getting fat and strong, not lean and fast! It was now 1991, and I was determined to fix what was wrong. You and I went through so much, trying to figure out what to do. My body type needed more protein, less starchy carbohydrate, and a little more fat than I was giving it. Now almost 4 years later, I’m seeing such wonderful results. I know what works best. I wouldn’t say I was really too much overweight, but 15 lbs. off the body sure feels lighter and faster. I also feel strong. You have been such a good support for me. It has been a long, hard struggle, but I think we won. Now, thanks to you, I’m training for an Ironman Triathlon."
